Richard Burchett (1815-1875)

Richard Burchett (1815-1875) was perhaps more important as an art teacher than as an artist although he achieved some success with his historical subjects. He was regarded as a kind of fellow traveller of the Pre-Raphaelites without ever quite belonging to the movement.
